Custom Machinery Design and Fabrication

Machine Designer with three decades of experience. I am the original inventor, designer of the well known Bull Forging Hammers and the Phoenix Forging Hammers as well as many other types of power hammers, pneumatic hammers, presses and other machines. I have also designed a variety of forging tooling, forging dies, and accessories. Many of my pneumatic hammers are reliably and safely doing work formerly performed by mechanical punch presses. I also design and build tooling for blanking metal shapes from sheets using forging hammers or presses.

I tend to specialize in forging and metal forming applications, but I have also built a wide variety of custom machines for automated assembly operations and many jigs and fixtures for machining applications as well.

I maintain a production facility in Asheville , NC. with variety of machining capabilities for the production and testing of my own designs. I have the expertise and ability to construct and test forging hammers of up to 3,000 lb. ram weight in-house.

My machines and inventions are in use by more than five hundred customers in the U.S. and thirteen other countries around the globe, working around the clock for companies such as: Raytheon, Whirlpool, Norfolk Southern, John Deer, Caterpillar, Gerber and others.

I have also provided consulting and technology for major institutions such as: The Discovery Channel, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, Edison Institute (Henry Ford Museum), Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston, Ont., Biltmore Estate and others
